Notre Dame partners with qualified investors worldwide who execute a disciplined, long-term approach. Recognized as a leader in international, private capital and alternative investing, the University's asset allocation has changed markedly over the past decade.
Reflective of a trend among institutional investors, the proportion of alternative investments doubled over that period from roughly one-third to two-thirds of the portfolio. Today, the University has one of the highest allocations to alternative investments (both domestic and non-U.S.) in the endowment community, and international investments as a whole continue to grow in importance both in public and private markets.
